EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Education is the key success for individual who strive for a positive change. Every one deserve a chance to accomplish their dreams, despite their special needs. Special need kids need to know that they are loved, care for and they do belong.
I believe special needs kids are not just special but they do make us (Parents, Teachers) special. Teachers do not need to teach numbers, new vocabulary, grammars, and science, teachers need to teach life skills, productivity, and independency.
Working with kids with special needs for the past 16 years, educated me about who I am truly, I learned with them about myself, my abilities, my weakness, my strength. I learned with my special needs kids, that learning needs practice, and the more I practice the more I achieve my goals.
I learned that special needs kids’ needs to know that they are loved the way they are and they don’t need to be changed to be someone they are not. I learned that special need kids can reach their full potential with more love than instructions/ directions and guidelines can teach.
